And it's this sense of transcendence ('sense', because God Is beyond even the beyondness that we experience) that often permeates what we are reaching for when we talk about 'community'.

That's not meant to be controversial, really, but it's interesting that we find the essence of each other and the essence of God both to be 'whereof...one must be silent'.

On the other hand, the facts that the feeling is so significant, and that it is epistemically so unlike the way we know about anything else, make me question how to interpret it. If God is beyond beyondness, how can we even recognise him?

(Silly Andrew, he's the one with the sandals and the halo)Andrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06544888419638975030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1824261000607570706.post-55707851001569188792010-01-06T22:01:27.772+00:002010-01-06T22:01:27.772+00:00wow - Dionysius the dudewow - Dionysius the dudeAngiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10290243317035540185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1824261000607570706.post-29218503422631621372010-01-06T13:31:57.825+00:002010-01-06T13:31:57.825+00:00Huzzah!Huzzah!Gabriel Smyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13894658019635435783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1824261000607570706.post-40857824406591524152010-01-05T20:39:50.464+00:002010-01-05T20:39:50.464+00:00...And then the heresy police start spluttering? ......And then the heresy police start spluttering? *Love* this (still).Annie Holmeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14394666290604615453noreply@blogger.com
