Interesting Fact of the Day

There are no exorcisms in John's gospel. I wonder why?

I had not noticed that before.

Maybe John didn't dally in superstition.

Interesting point. John seems to map the parallel development of faith and unbelief - this is the source of lots of the misunderstanding throughout the gospel (1:5, 21:23). He never mentions where this divide originates precisely - it comes from a desire for purely human glory (5:44), and a temptation towards lies, murder etc. (8:44). It strikes me that there are no exorcisms because John seems to suggest that demons emerge over the course of one's life, and that it is in the process of living that they are driven out.

So he doesnt deny that demons are real; he just portrays them slightly different to the other authors...

Didn't make it through post production, they're in the redux version though.
